Mexican Turkey Burger Sliders

A favorite among kids, these turkey burger sliders are great served with roasted sweet potato fries. For adult size burgers, shape into 4 patties and serve on regular buns.

Yields: 
6 sliders

Burgers:
1-pound ground, lean turkey
1½ teaspoons Fire & Flavor Salmon Rub
½ cup finely chopped onion
Zest of ½ lime
½ teaspoon kosher salt

Accompaniments: 
6 ounces cheddar cheese, sliced
6 mini hamburger buns
½ cup fresh guacamole (purchased or homemade)
Fresh salsa to serve

FIRST In a large bowl, combine turkey, rub, onion, and lime; season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Using hands, form into 6 small patties and place in refrigerator until ready to grill.

LAST Preheat gas or charcoal grill or indoor grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill burgers until meat thermometer inserted in thickest part registers 165°F, about 4 minutes per side. Remover burgers from grill, top with cheddar and serve on buns with guacamole.
